Terms of use
The agreement between you and Voodoo during its closed pilot, in plain words.
What Voodoo is
Voodoo is an informational and advisory product about the musculoskeletal body. You place pins on a three-dimensional body where it hurts, add what you notice, and receive an advisory reading of the patterns between your pins, written so that you could discuss it with a physiotherapist.
Voodoo never tells you what you have. It is not a medical device, it is not a clinic, it gives no medical care, and it connects to no clinical system. A report describes patterns that could be worth exploring; what you do with it is your decision, and nobody is notified but you.
Who may use it
- Adults only. You confirm at sign-in that you are 18 or older.
- During the pilot, by invitation only: Voodoo is open to the people who were given the link.
- One account per person, for your own body. Please do not place pins on behalf of someone else.
Not for emergencies
If you think you need urgent care, contact your local emergency services or a doctor now; do not wait for a report. Before every analysis, a card lists the signs that should send you to a person today and asks whether any apply. Answer it honestly: it is the one safety question the product relies on.
What a report is, and is not
- Advisory. It names patterns that could be worth a closer look, things you can check at home, and questions to bring to a physiotherapist. Analytical sentences are written to be conditional and are checked before the report reaches you.
- Movements come from a curated library. Every entry in that library still awaits review by a physiotherapist, and the report says so: start gently, and stop anything that sharpens the pain.
- A model writes the draft, and a model can be wrong. The report is built from what you wrote and nothing else: no examination, no imaging, no history beyond your own words.
How the report works explains each step between Analyse and the report.
What we ask of you
- Keep your sign-in link to yourself; it works once and expires.
- Pin truthfully. The report is only as good as what it is given.
- Do not use Voodoo in place of care you need, and do not delay seeking care because of something a report said or did not say.
- Do not try to reach other people's data, to overload or scrape the service, or to work around the safety screen.
- Do not enter other people's health information.
Your content
Your pins, notes and profile are yours. We use them only to produce your reports and to run the service, as the Privacy notice describes. Deleting your account removes them.
Our content and licences
The anatomy is derived from BodyParts3D (CC BY 4.0) and the Z-Anatomy project (CC BY-SA 4.0), and the movement of the figures from the CMU Graphics Lab Motion Capture Database; the attributions and licences are on the Credits page, and the derived anatomy is published under the same licences. Voodoo’s own copy, design and software are ours. You may use the service for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
The pilot
- Voodoo is free during the pilot. There is a limit on how many analyses you can run each day; your account page shows it.
- We may change, pause or end the pilot, and we will tell you before any accounts are closed.
- You can leave at any time by deleting your account.
- Tracking a plan day by day, the monthly refresh and reminders are part of the pilot and free. If a paid plan opens later, these terms will say first what it costs, how to cancel and how refunds work, and nothing will be charged before you agree to that.
Our responsibility, and its limits
We take care over what Voodoo says, and we test it. We cannot promise that a report is complete or right for you, and it does not replace the examination a professional can give. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of a report. Every report is checked against a list of phrasings that would present a possibility as a fact. If one slips through, tell us.
